Releasing Fear
Fear is a choice. You choose to experience life in fear and limit yourself or choose to be happy and live fulfilled. Fear is closed energy that is fed from our emotions. The emotions we feel are created from the thoughts that we focus on, consciously and/or unconsciously. Emotions act as indicators to let us know if we are focusing on expansive, empowering thoughts or fearful, limiting thoughts. The emotions associated with fear create negative repeating patterns. To release the fear, you need to break the patterns.
There are two wolves in a fight, the fear wolf and the love wolf. Which one will win? The one that you feed.
The following are a few techniques that can help to release fear:
Mindful Awareness. Stay present. In the now. Practice grounding. Check out this video on grounding techniques Here is a link to my FREE Stress Reduction Course These exercises all help to release fear.
Put your life and thoughts in perspective. If you are fearful to do something, ask yourself “What is the worst thing that could happen if I do this?” Then ask what is the probability of that thing actually happening? Based on your responses decide if it is worth acting on or not. Fear tends to blow things out of proportion.
Gratitude – practicing gratitude shifts fear from your thoughts and attracts more positive thoughts which minimizes fear. Gratitude journaling works! Write 5 things in your journal every night that you are grateful for.
