As we honor the energy of the Winter Solstice it is the perfect time to release what no longer serves us and make room to be ready to receive the gifts of the new year.
I will be using my Winter Solstice Tarot Reading Spread previously posted. (12.20.20)
Because this is a collective reading, I will use the word “We” in my questions. I really recommend that you perform this reading for yourself with your favorite Tarot or Oracle Deck.
Remember these two things; Tarot should be fun & the cards never lie!
Hope is the only string that has the power to bring back warm times. Wishing for the rebirth of the sun to fill your life, heart, and home with warmth and happiness. Happy Winter Solstice. – Karen
Card 1
Release “What do we need to let go of?
Strength – we need to release our courage and face our fears. By releasing our strength, we become venerable. We will see our true weaknesses; we need to release these weaknesses. It takes much courage to stand in our dark showdown self and admit and own our weaknesses. But until we are able to do so we will stay stuck and have no room to grow and prosper.
Card 2
Increase “Which aspect of our lives needs more focus?”
The Fool – Beautiful! As the Fool card represents us on our journey. The message here is to focus more on Characteristics of spontaneity, innocence, faith, risk, and courage (see there is that courage connection). We need to re-establish our carefree innocence with no negative thought which shows us that the heart is wide open to receiving. When we are empty of fear, doubt, and worry it means that we are full of source energy, divine wisdom ultimately protected. Need to learn to take a leap of faith.
Card 3
Decrease “Which aspect of our lives needs less focus?”
5 of Wands – To move forward we will need to decrease and limit conflict in our lives. Take note when we seem to be in disagreement with others. Is it necessary to create all this tension? Are there ways we can take the high road and move away from the conflict creating less tension? Remember conflict ours when egos get involved. Now is the time to check your ego at the door.
Card 4
Gratitude “What are we grateful for this year?”
King of Wands (reverse) – What we need to be grateful for this is our strong will and fierce independence. We have been able to dig deep and make it through this crazy unimaginable year of never befores’. That in itself is a huge thing to be grateful for.
Card 5
Activate “What do we need to be calling into our lives for the year ahead?”
The Hanged Man – Letting go. The ability to surrender, release control, trust the process. Do not struggle to be mindfully aware of your ego and work on releasing it. Our ego keeps us stuck, even small. Remember the more we venture outside of ourselves for happiness (material) the more lost we become.
